Dr. Shakthi Kumar is a seasoned industry leader in healthcare and life sciences with experience in driving business solutions across the care continuum from "molecules to patient care". Over the recent years, Dr. Kumar's endeavors have been to drive innovation and scaling across digital and person-centered healthcare, commercial models, drug discovery, personalized medicine, 'omics integration into care pathways, and population health. Dr. Kumar has diversified experience across global corporations and startups and has held leadership roles such as CEO, EVP, VP & COO, Board Member, and co-founder. He has successfully led global teams and scaled businesses at Amazon, Capgemini, BHS Group, Coopers and Lybrand LLP., Ness Technologies and presently serves as Member of the Advisory Board for several startups. At Amazon, he led an elite, global team of strategic advisors/BD professionals in EMEA, North America, Asia-Pacific, and LATAM, and drove several strategic programs for customers. Dr. Kumar served for 10 years as the Executive Vice President in charge of strategy, operations, and capability development for the Healthcare and Life Sciences practice at Capgemini headquartered in Paris, France. Prior to this, he led several enterprise programs in drug discovery, product launch, precision medicine, digital therapeutics, and Clinical Trials at leading Life Sciences organizations. Dr. Kumar has also served as Principal, Healthcare practice at Coopers and Lybrand, LLP advising C-suite and boards on business initiatives and transformation. Dr. Kumar holds a Doctorate in Health Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina, an MBA from California State University, and double majors in neuroscience and computer neural networks. Dr. Kumar is part of several boards and acts as strategic advisor to many startups and private equity ventures. Dr. Kumar is also engaged in community development and DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiatives and served on the executive boards of Helpers Social Development Foundation (Nigeria, Africa) and Freedom Network USA (Washington DC, USA).
