Throughout her career, Kavya has channeled her entrepreneurial skillset. As an undergraduate, she spearheaded an interdisciplinary biomedical engineering and neurology research project to deliver CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing technology to cancerous glioblastoma cells using engineered nanoparticles. Shortly after, she co-founded the Scientific Immersion & Mentorship Program, which she and her team grew to 500+ members in the first year and matched 75+ students to research positions. As a graduate student, she co-founded S Phase Bio Fund, a student backed investment fund that invests in small to mid-cap publicly traded companies. As Managing Director, she saw the growth to 26 Partners, a diversified portfolio of 5 biotechnology companies and 3 ETFs, and a thriving biotechnology community.

Having lived in Nashville, Tennessee for over eleven years, Kavya has been a part of the city's evolution into one of the top life sciences markets in the United States. Drawing upon her interdisciplinary skillset, international network, and entrepreneurial experience, she launched Phase Capital to support biotechnology companies and investment firms with the goal of transforming both Nashville's biotech ecosystem and the broader biotech investment landscape.
